Challenge
Announcing the market’s opening for the season or the arrival of a popular product. These videos were targeted at our regular customers and people who only visited us for the big-name produce. This project had to be bilingual (French and English) like all other communications from the brand.

I was in the driver’s seat: I developed the concept, wrote, directed, edited… and sometimes acted. I worked with one of the market’s owners, who helped me with filming and pulling employees out of their regular tasks to star in videos.

Result
Over two summers, I produced two opening announcements, two local strawberry videos and two local corn videos. I solved the issue of bilingual videos by taking the silent film route with obvious, visual jokes. We amassed a healthy number of likes and comments on Instagram and Facebook and succeeded in building hype for the three most important weeks of the market’s season. I learned to scale my creative ideas to the operation: a tripod, a few phone cameras and a mountain of delicious props.
